Young children use their behaviors to communicate their feelings, needs and wants. This course looks at what children may be trying to communicate with their behavior, the impact of trauma on behavior and why children sometime have challenging behaviors. Information on brain development, the importance of healthy social emotional development, and the impact of trauma will all be discussed in the context of understanding and addressing young children’s behaviors.
