This 15 PDP course is designed for administrators, coordinators, coaches, and teacher leaders who strive to optimize outcomes for English learners (ELs). Participants will deepen their understanding of ELs, and investigate instructional leadership and research-based Tier 1 instruction.
Our inquiry into leadership will include anti-racism, trauma-engaged practice, instructional leadership, Massachusetts' Blueprint for EL Success, and leading for students with limited and interrupted formal education (SLIFE). Participants will explore a pedagogy of equity and high-leverage practices and strategies for English language development (ELD) and sheltered English instruction (SEI) settings.
