Now that you have been using the New MA IEP, we are sure that many of you have burning questions concerning the changes that have occurred. Come spend the day with experts Allan Blume, Laurel Peltier, and Jan Hollenbeck getting your questions answered, and learn how to navigate the new form with ease effectively.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the day, participants will:

Know how to gather information before the team meeting in a way that fits DESE guidance and team member roles and responsibilities in public schools.

Understand how to collect, interpret, and summarize data to support the development of the student profile and the specially designed instruction portions of the New IEP.

Be able to connect with colleagues from across the state and use tools shared at the conference to strengthen data-informed approaches to the New MA IEP.

Tentative Agenda:

  • 8:15 – 8:45am Registration and continental breakfast
  • 8:45am: Welcome and Introductions
  • 9:00 – 10:30am: Preparing the Team and Present Levels Sections
  • 10:30 -10:45am: Break
  • 10:45am – 12:15pm: Baseline Data, Annual Targets, Objectives, and Participation in General Education
  • 12:15 – 1:15pm: Networking and Lunch: See how many people you can connect with
  • 1:15 – 2:45pm: Accommodations / Modifications and Service Delivery
  • 2:45 – 3:00pm: Closing with Gratitude and Next Steps

Registration

A maximum class size is set for each course and registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If the number of registrations for a course exceeds the maximum seats available or is too low to be able to conduct a quality learning experience, CES will inform you of available options.

Course Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your registration, please submit a request in writing (via mail, email or fax) no later than 7 business days before the workshop’s start date. After that, there are no refunds or billing adjustments.

In the event that a course is cancelled by the Collaborative for Educational Services, we will notify you as soon as possible. Please be sure to provide your best email address and phone number so we can contact you. Although every effort is made to avoid last minute cancellations, if an emergency arises, we will do our best to reach you at the phone number and email address you provide.
