Dr. Shawn Fortin is the Director of Teaching and Learning for the Belchertown Public Schools. He has fifteen years of experience in public K-12 education in MA and has used his knowledge of instructional technology to develop and teach coursework for students, teachers, and administrators. He currently facilitates MassCUE’s Leadership in Blended and Personalized Learning course and CES’s Educational Equity Through Blended And Personalized Learning Institute which are designed to advance principals’ leadership capacity with regard to personalized learning in schools. He has presented at national and regional conferences on using technology to support student engagement, facilitate service learning, and leverage school and district level leadership. Shawn holds a Master of Education degree in Policy, Planning, and Administration from Boston University and a Doctorate of Education degree from Northeastern University where he conducted research on student motivation and engagement with collaborative technology as a learning tool.
