Donna is an engaged classrooms specialist for Engaging Schools, has been an educator for over 25 years. She currently partners with a variety of districts and secondary schools, providing professional learning and consultation in Engaged Classrooms, Recalibrating Codes of Character, Conduct, and Support, and other Engaging Schools services. Donna has worked in urban and suburban secondary settings, both small alternative schools and large traditional ones in NYC and New Jersey. She taught high school English, humanities and drama and was an advisor for ten years. She has supported staff professional development in her roles as advisory coordinator, literacy coach, and school leadership team member. Donna also worked as a writing project seminar coordinator and was a content facilitator. She received her BA from Boston College and her MFA from CUNY/Brooklyn College. Donna is the co-author of Engaged Classrooms: The Art and Craft of Reaching and Teaching All Learners and Activators: Classroom Strategies for Engaging Middle and High School Students.
