Brooks Holmes is a retired educator (2022) who taught instrumental music for grades 5-12 over the past 31 years. Brooks’ Concert & Jazz Bands were well known throughout the local & state community for their versatility, discipline & technique. During his career, he was a strong advocate for implementing technology into classrooms and often hosted Music Education Majors from Westfield State University & UMASS Amherst. Brooks earned Bachelor & Master degrees from UMASS Amherst and has enjoyed performing for weddings, church services & concerts throughout the state as both a soloist & trumpeter with the New England Brass Quartet since 1991. Brooks is a Signature Artist for MusicNotes.com with over 200 sheet music publications representing Classical, Baroque, Jazz, and Contemporary music styles. In addition to his musical activities, Brooks manages a Nursery for Native Wetland Plants in Plymouth, MA (Cornishfieldfarm.com).
