Quaboag Public Schools

Quaboag Regional School District

Multisite built using WordPress primarily to support internal staff, student, and parent/caregiver resources.

FRSU School Site

Frontier Regional/Union#38 Schools

Multisite built using WordPress primarily to support internal staff, student, and parent/caregiver resources while making it easier to navigate between the different schools within the district.

Gill-Montague website

Gill-Montague Regional Public Schools

Gill-Montague had a series of websites for each of the schools within the district, all with different themes and no way to navigate between them easily. They also had an outside vendor handling content updates. This made it difficult and costly to get information on the website in a timely manner.

CES was able to build a new site in Drupal, creating a hierarchy between the district and each of the schools. Using a slightly different color scheme within that hierarchy allowed each of the sites to share content and navigation. They now have control over their own content.

ARPS Site

Amherst-Pelham Regional School District

Amherst-Pelham wanted to replace their old design. It was very static, difficult to edit, and felt outdated. They were looking for a fresh design that would be easy to navigate, tie the school sites together, and be easy to manage. CES worked with ARPS to design a new website in Drupal, and held a series of training sessions to give Amherst-Pelham content staff the power to control their own content.
BPS site

Belchertown Public Schools

BPS had a common complaint: they were paying too much for something they couldn’t easily use. Their website was built on the Joomla! content management system, which is hard to manage and not user friendly to content editors. They wanted a vendor that could build them a new site on an easy-to-use platform. They also wanted training, technical support, and hosting.

We worked with them to develop their new site in Drupal, provided a series of in-person and phone training sessions, and were able to make content editing simple for each of the schools.

Greenfield website

Greenfield Public Schools

GPS needed a website that would do a better job at helping them connect with their community. The site needed to provide information to parents, such as contact information, district and school-specific information, delays and cancellations, and a calendar of events.. They also wanted to provide a “hub” for students and give them quick access to resources, tools, email, etc.

CES built a new GPS website that included an easy-to-navigate design that was accessible to students, families, community and staff; with expanded calendar features; and integrated social media. Integrating photography throughout, the design feels fresh and reflects the learning and activities at Greenfield Public Schools.

Hatfield website

Hatfield Public Schools

CES built Hatfield Public Schools a brand new site, rather than trying to fix their old one. The Hatfield team and CES Web worked together on the site’s design – developing and testing through the spring and launching the new website over summer break.

The new site has a new layout, a dynamic news section offering a variety of articles created by school personnel, a more secure platform, accessible staff directories with contact information, integrated calendars, easier content management and more intuitive navigation.

Emerging America website

Emerging America

Emerging America is a grant funded program at CES. They provide educator professional development and online resources to nurture critical thinking about the American experience and its global context. They previously housed a wide array of content on multiple different sites. As the EA team refined and expanded the instructional and content resources offered online for educators, they wanted a more cohesive and cleaner approach for their new site. Rebuilding the Emerging America website consisted of combining 3 separate WordPress sites into a single cohesive Drupal site, and importing and editing all the content. The new site offers more expansive and customizable features, layouts, and styles for the content editors to take advantage of as they expand.
