SPIFFY Youth Steering Committee member Z Vamosy received the Youth Activist Award from the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth at their Annual Gay-la on March 30, 2024. This event brings together dedicated LGBTQ advocates from across the Commonwealth and connects them with incredible LGBTQ young people who are passionate about making change in their communities. The SPIFFY team have loved working with Z at many different youth events, and as a dedicated member of the SPIFFY Youth Steering Committee since its inception in October 2023: we are so happy and proud that they’ve been recognized for their passion and ongoing advocacy! In addition to working with SPIFFY, Z is also a member of the Trans Youth Action Team at Translate Gender, and was a founding member of POSH (People Opposed to Sexual Harassment) in the Amherst Regional Public Schools. Yay, Z!
