Important Notice about CES Licensure Programs

We are sad to announce that our CES Licensure Preparation program will be closing operations after the Spring ’25 semester. This program has a long and valuable history, serving administrators and teachers in Massachusetts for over 23 years with high quality programming. We are proud of our alumnae in this CES program, and look forward to continuing to work and share practices with these educators through our other programs. We also want to recognize the incredible skills and talent of our staff, especially the management team; and the excellence of our licensure instructors.

The business environment for alternative licensure programs has changed dramatically in recent years. There are far fewer new teachers moving into the profession, despite the ongoing teacher shortage. DESE has expanded the availability of nontraditional, creative paths to licensure in response to the teacher shortage. As a result, we are sunsetting this program to shift our focus to the professional development, coaching and technical assistance that we provide to educators, schools and districts in areas in which they have the most need.

For our current enrollees in the programs, you will be able to finish your Spring courses. Our staff will be in touch to support you in transitioning to a comparable program with our partners as quickly and efficiently as possible.
